Configuring DHCP relay on Comware
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) relay on Comware is configured with concept of multiple DHCP servers and applied to the interfaces. This configuration allows for added information to allow scale, but is ungainly when you have one or two DHCP servers. In the end, the configuration requirements are straight forward but not the ip-helper-address, we are use too.
VARIABLES ${GroupNumber} Define the server group that DHCP is available ${DHCPserverIPaddress} Define the DHCP server IP address(es) for that group ${VLAN} The Switched Virtual Interface
Configuration dhcp enable dhcp relay server-group ${GroupNumber} ip ${DHCPserverIPaddress} int vlan ${VLAN} dhcp relay server-select ${GroupNumber} dhcp select relay

On Comware the configuration for DHCP relay requires:
- enabling dhcp
- defining the server
- mapping it to a group
- On each Layer 3 Interface
- defining the DHCP group
- defining the relay function
